Yogic Living Foundation (FLY) camp 2018

The Mission

There is a reason why the acronym used for the Yogic Living Foundation is F.L.Y. i.e. in opposite sequence of words. This itself reflects the whole essence of the camp.

In the pursuit of peace and happiness, people have paid all attention to fix everything outside. The camp aims to re-establish the fact that the peace and happiness is not as elusive as it appears provided you reverse the seeking from outside to inside. The real treasure lies just very inside you and it is not impossible to attain it.

Through the living experience of a yogic life, camp will make you believe that –

  • It is still possible to live like a yogi.
  • You need not compromise on daily duties and aspirations
  • Peace and happiness is your right and you do not need to compromise that either.

As is the food, so is the mind. Like water, like your voices ||

What should be appropriate attire for the camp?

Since major activities in camp would be based on yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, chanting, singing/listening bhajan, etc at the grassy campsite hence a proper attire for Yoga is highly recommended.

You may feel cold in early morning hence a winter garment, blanket, etc are also recommended.

Do you have any children activity?

HarsheyPark campsites provides several fun activities for kids like swimming, kids play area, kids parade and several kids special programmes. Please visit harsheypark website to find options.

Most of the car can be parked next to the campsite. You can easily carry stuff from car to the campsite and vice-versa by hand without much hassle. Can I bring firewood with me?

Firewood transportation is prohibited. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has issued a notice prohibiting the movement of all species of firewood into the State, effective immediately. This quarantine has been issued because of the threat posed by various wood-feeding insects, including Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), Asian Longhorned Beetle, Sirex Wood Wasp, and bark beetles that are considered threats to Pennsylvania’s forest, horticultural and recreational resources. PLEASE help us and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture by not transporting firewood into Pennsylvania. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
